Summer Shootout - Lurt Motorsports go 1 2 3 as D3V1N wins at Kansas

Lots of cautions were apart of this race. With a few more drivers getting kicked out of the league after the Thursday night event. PT, Chevelle, and Racer just recently joined the SRL but now are all kicked out of the league after racing dirty.

Will we have long green flag runs at Pocono?

Well the Sick Racing League will look a  little bit different this week without a few drivers and maybe a few coming aboard. I am thinking we will have long green flag runs this week. Not knowing how many people we will have in the race this week, and a track like Pocono, its just a recipe for some long runs. I really hope we do have long runs because I'm really looking forward to just getting out on the track and racing for a long period of time. Wait around and see what happens next!

D3V1N wins the FedEx80 at Dover! The SRL removes two drivers!

After a wreckfest at Dover, SICK and Lurt decided to remove JWBAccess and Darius from the Sick Racing League. JWB was already on probation when the wreckfest at Dover began which he retaliated against a rival and took him out. He was then notified that he was removed from the SRL. Shortly after the Dega Bonus Race in which Darius blatantly took out Lurt, they have decided that enough is enough and removed DARIUS from further competition. D3V1N got into Scope on the last gwc and got around him to get the win. D3V1N has now won two weeks in a row. Congrats!

Good racing by SCOPE here at Dover as he dominated the race. Smash and Lurt wrecked on the last lap giving SICK the 2nd place finish.

Lurt Motorsports go 1 2 as Lurt wins at Homestead in the Summer Shootout

One long green flag run followed by a short three lap shootout for the win was what it was about at Homestead-Miami Thursday night. Good racing at the front and back of the pack with some dominant cars better than others. SICK had the lead going into the final three laps of the race but couldn't keep up with Lurt and D3V1N as they passed him easily going into turn 3. Lurt and D3V1N battled for a minute with Lurt taking the checkered flag.

Lurt makes it two for two in the Summer Shootout Series as he wins at Daytona Night

It was a crazy battle for leading laps tonight at Daytona. All but one car led a lap tonight in the race. It was an awesome 5 car battle in the end for the win. SICK got into the wall but didn't spin going into the last lap which took him out of contention for the win but 4 different drivers had the lead on the last lap as Lurt made the move on Halfprice at the end. Half tried to block but got loose. He got into Lurt and spun him across the grass. Lurt went onto win the race. Congrats!

It was a three way battle going into the last lap with Smash, Half, and Sick up front with Lurt and Darius trailing by a few car lengths. Half got into Smash spinning him in the turn. The wreck slowed down Sick just a little bit but he still had enough momentum to pass Half at the checkered flag for the win. The race at 3 dnfs as remaining drivers were being careful so it wouldn't happen to them.

The Shootout Begins

The Summer Shootout is upon us as we only have 15 hours till the green flag drops at Michigan. Drivers are looking to pick up the inaugural race win. Some guys already have good setups and others will stick with Dale Jr's pro setup. JWB has posted the fastest times in practice already with laps in the 35s. SICK wasn't to far back as he had a few laps in the low 36s. More prep will go into the cars on Thursday all the way up till race time. Since the Sprint Cup and Nationwide series races in Talladega where drivers already have good setups, all focus will go onto Michigan. Will tempers flare again like they did at Richmond. Will drivers take rivalries into this week and use it to their advantage at Michigan. We will see. In my opinion it won't be a wreckfest. Auto Club, a similar speedway, wasn't a wreckfect so I don't expect this to be one. Good luck to all participants.

Tempers Flare at Richmond. Ryan collects first career win!

Well going into this weeks race, I knew it was going to be a wreck fest but nothing like this. Penalties were handed out tonight to a certain driver, drivers argued throughout the race, and a whole lot of bumping went on. Cautions lagged up the first race so they restarted at lap 40.  Ryan had a great car tonight as he raced towards the front of the pack most of the race. JWBAccess had a tough race as he kept getting into other drivers starting with pvt2 then going to Lurt and Ryan. Ryan battled Smash going into the final lap. Some pressure was applied to Smash as HalfPrice looked to take second place. The two spun while crossing the finish line. Ryan went on to earn the victory in the Toyota Owners 80 at Richmond.

Will tempers flare at Richmond

Will it be a wreck fest? Or will we have long green flag runs. It can be unpredictable at times. Bristol was a wreck fest then we take it to an even tighter track like Martinsville and only have 6 cautions.  It is hard to tell going into Richmond but I know tempers will flare and rivalries will begin. With just a few points separating first and second place, the leaders will be battling with everything they got. As much as SICK and Lurt battled at Texas and Kansas, i'm sure they will take it to the 3/4 mile track Richmond. Looking at the wildcard spot, Ryan is beating Rich by a few points but Rich has that one win to give him the wildcard spot. Ryan needs to win a race or gain those five points to catch up with JWB in 5th place. Things up front are close though as just 39 points separate 1st from 5th place. It is still anyone's championship as we go into week 9 of this long 36 week season.

Week 8 Results and Standings

Jason needed a much needed boost after not racing the last two races. Had a pretty clean race with just a few cautions. The game lagged out with 13 to go where they started a new race. Jason went on to take the win and the bonus race. Lurt and Sick battled a lot today as they came out even on points. Jason moves up two spots in the standings after sweeping today.
